Former WBBM Host Bob Sanders Dies At 89

Condolences to family and friends of former longtime WBBM-A/CHICAGO host BOB SANDERS, who died SUNDAY after a long illness at 89, according to a report by ROBERTFEDER.COM.

SANDERS joined WBBM in 1956 after working in ST. LOUIS, where he met his wife BETTY.  SANDERS remained with the station after its switch to all-News, and then became co-anchor with his wife of the midday show from 1972 through NOVEMBER 1982.  They subsequently moved to crosstown WCFL, then hosted at WMCA-A/NEW YORK and WISN-A/MILWAUKEE before retiring to LAKE GENEVA, WI.
