JONATHAN HAY PUBLICITY and ROGUE ENTERTAINMENT have formed a partnership with the creation of the record label SMH RECORDS, based in CHARLOTTE, NC. The new label has raised $30 million in capital.
JONATHAN HAY PUBLICITY has represented artists including RIHANNA, WHITNEY HOUSTON, and MICHAEL JACKSON over the years; ROGUE owns several businesses, among them a film and music production company.
"The objective of this record label is to do what the major labels rarely do these days — to find and develop new artists. We will devote significant resources to developing our artists and introducing them to a mass market," HAY said.
MICHAEL BENTLEY, VP of HOOPLA WORLDWIDE, will serve as head of A&R for SMH RECORDS.
