The end of the government shutdown means the FCC is back in business, and so is its database, meaning that the information on applications for sales, closing notifications, and requests for Silent STAs is now once again available.

Among filings on the first day back, CENTRAL MICHIGAN COMMUNICATIONS, INC is selling Talk WMMI-A/SHEPHERD, MI and Adult Hits WCZY-F (MY 104.3)/MOUNT PLEASANT, MI to LATITUDE MEDIA, LLC for $774,000 plus a $5,000 noncompete covenant.

MULTIMEDEOS RADIO OLA is selling FM translators K269FD/LULING, TX and K294BI/SCHULENBURG, TX to CENTRO CRISTIANO DE VIDA ETERNA for $40,000.

VSS CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling FM translator K255CK/WEST POINT, NE to WAYNE RADIO WORKS, LLC for $15,000.

1400 INC. is donating FM translator K231BZ/HAILEY, ID to MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO.

YOUR CHRISTIAN COMPANION NETWORK, INC. is donating FM translator K277CJ/SANTA ROSA, CA to ONE MINISTRIES, INC.

Applying for a Silent STA was WESTERN OREGON OPRY LTD. for KCGO/COTTAGE GROVE, OR.

And MEGAN LIGHTFOOT has closed on the transfer of two-thirds of her interest in GEORGIA-CAROLINA WIRELESS, LLC, licensee of WLTE/PENDLETON, SC, to M. TERRY CARTER and DOUGLAS M. SUTTON, JR. in exchange for assumption of debt.  In the deal SUTTON was named to replace LIGHTFOOT as Managing Member.  SUTTON and CARTER own TUGART PROPERTIES, LLC.

WGCH Sold

In a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, FORTE FAMILY BROADCASTING, INC. is buying Business Talk WGCH-A/GREENWICH, CT from BUSINESSTALKRADIO.NET ACQUISITION CORP. for an undisclosed price, and will take over in an LMA on NOVEMBER 4th.  The buyer is owned by businessman ROCCO L. FORTE.

Armada Sells In Marinette

In another deal yet to be registered in the FCC database, ARMADA MEDIA CORP. is selling Country WLST (CAT COUNTRY 95.1) and Sports WMAM-A (ESPN 570)/MARINETTE, WI; AC WSFQ (HOTS 96)/PESHTIGO, WI; and Oldies WHYB (HOMETOWN RADIO 103.7 FM) and Talk WAGN-A/MENOMINEE, MI to RADIO PLUS BAY CITIES, LLC for an undisclosed price.  KALIL AND CO. is serving as exclusive broker for the deal.
