CUMULUS MEDIA’s 296 radio stations will be used to promote TWENTIETH TELEVISON's syndicated show, "Dish Nation," an entertainment newsmagazine co-hosted by morning radio teams such as KLOS/LOS ANGELES' HEIDI & FRANK and WHAT/ATLANTA's RICKEY SMILEY. TVNEWSCHECK.COM reports that the campaign -- :30 spots for morning shows, :15 spots for afternoons and :30s at night -- is timed to coincide with the NOVEMBER sweeps.
“This is about building awareness,” TWENTIETH TELEVISION EVP/Programming and Development STEPHEN BROWN said. "The DJs in the CUMULUS markets are going to talk about 'Dish Nation' on their morning shows. In the top-12 DMAs, we’ll have a contest where their listeners can win a trip to HOLLYWOOD.
“Radio is very localized,” he continued. “With CUMULUS, we’re hitting all the formats: Country, Urban, Top 40. It reaches all sorts of viewers who may want to get their entertainment news in a funny way.”
