BOB O'BRIEN has been on the air from coast-to-coast. But without a gig for most of the year, O'BRIEN returned to writing. His latest, "Who Did It First -- Great Rhythm And Blues Cover Songs And Their Original Artists" published over the weekend (SCARECROW PRESS/ROWMAN & LITTLEFIELD). It's the first installment of a three-volume set. Volume 2, to be released in MARCH, explores Pop cover tunes, while the 3rd volume, due for release in late summer 2014, looks at Rock covers.
O'BRIEN most recently worked as PD and morning host at R&R RADIO CORPORATION Classic Hits KDES-F/PALM SPRINGS, CA.
O'BRIEN also had gigs at WLOQ-F/ORLANDO, WYUU-F/TAMPA, WXTR-F/WASHINGTON, DC, WMEX-A/BOSTON and WCBS-F/NEW YORK.
He wrote and produced the weekly syndicated music trivia show "SOLID GOLD SCRAPBOOK" for UNITED STATIONS.
O'BRIEN uses his real name, BOB LESZCZAK, for "Who Did It First?"
