Halloween Hoax?

A woman "CHERYL" called MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS Top 40 WDAY's Y94 MORNING PLAYHOUSE/FARGO this week with a letter in hand. She was planning to hand the letter to children trick or treating. Essentially, the letter said too many children are overweight and candy is an unhealthy option. The interview and letter went viral, giving the woman her 15 minutes of fame. Stories about her surfaced on various TV networks and in newspaper articles.

While many believe "CHERYL" was perpetrating a hoax on greater FARGO, and ultimately the entire country, the Y94 MORNING PLAYHOUSE FACEBOOK page didn't go as far WEDNESDAY.

"CHERYL's note from YESTERDAY and phone call are apparently popping up elsewhere in the country this morning; it would seem adults bullying children is universally *not ok*"
