JERRY KRISTAFER has a new radio gig. KRISTAFER, who was fired (NET NEWS 10/7) by BUCKLEY BROADCASTING Classic Hits WDRC/HARTFORD as morning host earlier last month, has joined ARCHDIOCESE OF HARTFORD WJMJ-F. He'll return to his familiar morning slot Monday.
KRISTAFER told ALL ACCESS, "After 44 yrs on-the-air (at age 60), I was ready for something really different. I'm thankful for this opportunity. I truly believe that this is where I'm suppose to be right now."
WJMJ reaches northern CONNECTICUT and WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS, plus it's available anywhere via streaming audio on the Internet.
As RYAN KRISTAFER's son RYAN posted on FACEBOOK yesterday, "Good things happen to good people."
The elder KRISTAFER has worked in CONNECTICUT radio for three decades.
