Veteran Chicago Jock Robert Murphy Returns To WLS

ROBERT MURPHY is headed back to CUMULUS MEDIA Classic Hits WLS-F/CHICAGO, ROBERTFEDER.com reports. Starting NOVEMBER 11th, MURPHY will be on-air weekdays from 4-8p. FEDER says the lineup will remain unchanged, aside from minor tweaking to the schedule. It's MURPHY's second WLS gig. He hosted a morning show in 1994, as part of their "Young Talk" format.

MURPHY most recently worked for HUBBARD BROADCASTING AC WILV(REWIND 100.3). But that on-air stint ended abruptly after six months in MARCH 2012 due to poor ratings.

His biggest success came between 1983 and 1993 at CHICAGO's Q101.
