GREATER MEDIA's Active Rock WRIF/DETROIT is doing its part to raise awareness of men's cancer. During the entire month of NOVEMBER, WRIF morning show hosts DAVE and CHUCK "THE FREAK" are growing mustaches to raise awareness of men's cancer and support patient care and research at KARMANOS CANCER INSTITUTE.
The WRIF morning guys have asked the men on the WRIF staff and listeners to join them and compete for the most outrageous mustache. All month, WRIF listeners can log onto www.WRIF.com to upload a photo of their mustache and donate to KARMANOS CANCER INSTITUTE. Listeners can also check out the progress of the WRIF Staff member's mustache growth.
"Inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness month and other Movember campaigns, we decided to do what we can to have an impact on the face of Men's Health in Metro DETROIT," said DAVE HUNTER, morning show host of DAVE and CHUCK THE FREAK. "We encourage everyone to get working on their mustaches and to join us in raising funds and awareness for these great local causes."
