WRXK's Stan & Haney Celebrate 5,000th Radio Show

Stan And Haney Have Rocked WRXK Since 1993

Last FRIDAY NOVEMBER 6th, BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP Active Rock WRXK(96 K-ROCK)/FT. MYERS radio veterans STAN AND HANEY celebrated their 5,000th radio show together. Their heritage Afternoon Show has dominated the SOUTHWEST FLORIDA radio market for over two decades. In honor of this momentous accomplishment, STAN AND HANEY broadcasted live from The SEMINOLE CASINO IMMOKALEE where loyal listeners were encouraged to join the celebration.

STAN NAWALANIEC and MARK HANEY first teamed up nearly 27 years ago in MELBOURNE, FLORIDA at WMMY. After a brief time apart, HANEY joined STAN in May of 1993 for mornings at WRXK-FM and the rest is history. They moved to the afternoon shift April of 1997.

"While at 96 K-Rock, we've gone through five general managers, nine program directors and multiple morning and afternoon timeslots," said STAN. "We've never doubted our passion for radio and for this community. The best part of our day is getting behind the mic."

Market Manager BRAD BEASLEY reflects on the impact STAN AND HANEY have had on their listeners. "Through the years, loyal fans have stood steadfast as STAN AND HANEY woke them up in the mornings, accompanied them on their ride home from work, alerted them of natural disasters and led them by example to support local neighbors in need.
