Pacifica Board Removes 'Interim' Tag, Names Summer Reese Executive Director

At its meeting in HOUSTON this past weekend, the PACIFICA FOUNDATION's National Board has formally selected SUMMER REESE to serve as Executive Director.

REESE has been serving as Interim Executive Director since AUGUST 17, 2012, replacing ARLENE ENGLEHARDT.  She was previously Board Chair for the foundation and worked outside radio before that; her tenure as interim director has been marked by the financial crisis that threatens the operation of the organization's noncommercial Variety WBAI/NEW YORK.
