Former NFL Player, Broadcaster Todd Christensen Dies

TODD CHRISTENSEN, the former OAKLAND RAIDERS tight end who became a television and radio sports commentator after his playing days, died this morning (11/13) during surgery at a hospital in PROVO, UT. CHRISTENSEN, who had been battling liver disease for several years, was 57.
In radio, CHRISTENSEN hosted a sports talk show at then-Sports KMPC-A/LOS ANGELES, then worked mostly in television as an NFL analyst for NBC and a college football analyst for ESPN and the now-defunct MOUNTAINWEST SPORTS NETWORK (THE MTN). Most recently, he served as analyst for NAVY football on cable's CBS SPORTS NETWORK.
