ROBERT CONLEY, the first host of NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO's ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, died SATURDAY (11/16) at his home in VIRGINIA at 85, NPR reported on its website.
CONLEY was a correspondent and bureau chief for NBC NEWS and the NEW YORK TIMES, mostly based in KENYA, before joining NPR to launch the long-running daily news magazine show on MAY 3, 1971.
