WCIC/WBGL Reach Out In Illinois Tornado Relief

NEW LIFE MEDIA NETWORK Contemporary Christian stations WCIC (91.5)/PEORIA and WBGL (91.7)/CHAMPAIGN have teamed up to offer some help and hope in light of the recent ILLINOIS tornado tragedy. LOVEREBUILDS.ORG is a site founded and managed by WCIC/WBGL, with the goal of connecting the various needs with the people who can help.

WCIC Digital PD/JEREMY TRACEY explains, "What we're finding is that people are so eager to help, but most homeowners are well insured or have close friends and family helping them. Some areas are still on lock down due to the weather or the need for stabilization"

"Donations are pouring in even though many of the areas have asked that they stop. Things like clothing and water are no longer needed right now as the sorting through the rubble continues." TRACEY says, "However, with LOVEREBUILDS.ORG, people are able to post specific needs for themselves, a friend or neighbor who is uninsured, under-insured, or just has a specific need related to the storms. Then, the people who are so eagerly waiting to help can meet those needs. There's also a page to click to find other volunteer opportunities and available resources, whichever is applicable."
