With an eye toward another, soon-to-be-announced programming opportunity, CBS/HOUSTON VP/Programming MARK ADAMS has announced his resignation after six years in the market. His last day is DECEMBER 6th.
ADAMS joined CBS in 2008 when he put Top 40/Mainstream KKHH (HOT 95-7) on the air. He leaves his post programming the market's currently top-ranked Top 40, as well as at Country KILT and the OM post at Hot AC KHMX (MIX 96.5) and Regional Pop/Mexican KLOL (MEGA 101).
In a note to staff, ADAMS said, "I've had an opportunity present itself out of market that offers a number of personal and professional opportunities for myself and my family. While I'm excited to take on this new adventure, it was a difficult decision. I'm incredibly proud of the work we've accomplished together and know you will go on to ever greater success in the future."
ADAMS then told ALL ACCESS, "I'm excited about my new adventure but its also difficult leaving great friends and colleagues. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Market Manager SARAH FRAZIER, VP/Top 40 Programming MICHAEL MARTIN, EVP/Programming CHRIS OLIVEIRA, as well as the two fellows who originally hired me for HOT 95-7 back in 2008; GREG STRASSELL and JEFF GARRISON. CBS RADIO/HOUSTON is in good hands."
