David Giambruno Named SVP/CIO At Tribune

TRIBUNE COMPANY has named former REVLON CIO DAVID GIAMBRUNO as SVP/Chief Information Officer, based in NEW YORK and reporting to EVP/CFO STEVEN BERNS.

BERNS said that GIAMBRUNO "brings a proven record of innovation and leadership across technology applications, infrastructure, security and operations.  His breadth and depth of knowledge and experience will be vital in supporting TRIBUNE’s business strategies.”

GIAMBRUNO said, “I am excited to join TRIBUNE’s management team to lead the technology function in support of the company’s business strategies.  The media sector is extremely dynamic and technology will play a key role in successfully achieving the company’s broadcasting, content, digital and publishing initiatives.”

With GIAMBRUNO aboard, GHALIB KASSAM has been named EVP/Information Technology for TRIBUNE PUBLISHING, reporting to GIAMBRUNO.
