WPRO's John DePetro Files Complaint After Threat Incident

The PROVIDENCE JOURNAL is reporting that CUMULUS Talk WPRO-A-WEAN/PROVIDENCE host JOHN DEPETRO has filed a complaint with police after an incident in which he says two men threatened him outside the studio, apparently angry at his comments about labor unions.

In SEPTEMBER, DEPETRO's criticism of labor unions for protesting a fundraiser for RHODE ISLAND General Treasurer GINA RAIMONDO prompted unions to call for a boycott of advertisers.  DEPETRO told police that the suspects threatened him and that he would press charges if they are caught.  And this afternoon, he posted on Facebook, "Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I am ok."
