Ron Coomer Named Chicago Cubs Radio Analyst

Former major league infielder RON COOMER has been selected to replace KEITH MORELAND as color commentator alongside PAT HUGHES on TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO, according to reports in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE and ROBERTFEDER.COM.

COOMER, who played 9 years in the majors with the CUBS, MINNESOTA TWINS, NEW YORK YANKEES, and LOS ANGELES DODGERS, has been serving as analyst for TWINS television broadcasts on FOX SPORTS NORTH.

WGN Sports Director DAVE EANET said, “We're thrilled to have RON COOMER join the WGN Radio CUBS broadcast team.  His humor, knowledge and lifelong affinity for the CUBS make him a natural to team up with PAT in the booth for CHICAGO's very own.”
