Country superstar KENNY CHESNEY is starring in a new PSA campaign for THE FOUNDATION FOR A BETTER LIFE featuring his song “Spread the Love” (written with the WAILERS). The song was tied to a fund to help amputee victims of the BOSTON MARATHON bombing, and is now being used as the basis for the Foundation's 2014 PSA campaign, starting DECEMBER 18th.
CHESNEY said, “When I wrote the song, I just wanted to capture the truth that I find in the WAILERS’ music. It’s very simple things: love people, share and embrace each other. The WAILERS were a very powerful force of how people look at the world and each other, how we should treat each other. I wanted to carry that forward.”
“It’s easy to lose focus on what matters,” he added. “When I see one of their billboards, or a PSA comes up when I’m watching tv, it’s a little inspiration pause. Pass It On is everything ‘Spread the Love’ is about – and I can’t believe they came back to us for a second time, given all the amazing artists they work with.”
