New Duties

CLEAR CHANNEL EVP/National Programming Platforms DARREN DAVIS has bestowed new duties on EVP/Programming GENE ROMANO. In a note to the company, DAVIS wrote, "You've seen over the past several days we've been announcing some expanded duties for several of CCM+E's senior programmers. It's all part of an overall strategy to closely link the E/SVPP Team with NPP -– so that our local efforts and national efforts are totally in sync. And today, I have another bit of great news to share…

"EVPP GENE ROMANO will have expanded duties effective today. In addition to the East Major Markets he oversees, GENE will also oversee Programming Talent Recruitment and Development for CCM+E.

"CCM+E has attracted best in class programming talent over the past couple of years from a variety of companies and industries. GENE will lead our efforts to accelerate our recruitment of the very best into our company. GENE will also work with our E/SVPPs, Brand Managers and VPPs to identify the future stars already inside the company to mentor, grow and provide the tools and resources for their continued advancement with CCM+E."
