AMERICAN GENERAL MEDIA and five of its eight radio stations are taking to the airwaves, donating both air time and station talent, to ask listeners to help S.A.F.E. HOUSE this holiday season. KABG, KAGM, KARS, KDLW and KLVO have been on the air since DECEMBER 9th, encouraging listeners to join them for an all-day live broadcast and donation drive on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20th, 2013 at Smith's Food & Drug Store.
Listeners are being asked to donate basic living items like bath soap, baby wipes, shampoo and conditioner, laundry soap and fabric softener, socks and underwear and more. All items collected will then be donated to S.A.F.E. HOUSE, a non-profit organization and shelter for men and women and their children who are not safe in their own homes. Items donated and not needed by survivors at the shelter will be sold at the S.A.F.E. HOUSE thrift store, proceeds from which will be used to support their programs.
