Industry Mourns, Services Set For Feb 26th

ALL ACCESS is very saddened to have learned that legendary NEW ENGLAND promo exec JERRY BRENNER has lost his battle against an aggressive form of cancer. He passed at 1p (ET) TODAY, at the age of 73.
Born GERALD NEIL BRENNER on APRIL 28th, 1940, JERRY graduated REVERE HIGH SCHOOL, class of 1958. He served in the US ARMY and started his career in the music business working for DON DUMONT RECORD DISTRIBUTION in the late 60's. He then got a job working with HOWIE RING at MUSIC CITY MUSIC/MUSIC SALES, the early 70's. In the middle 70's he started his own independent record business with partner CARL STRUBE.
From that point on his business took off and he and his team became one of the most respected firms in the country. Many promotion executives can relate a story or two on how JERRY's help, played a crucial part of their success. He was loved by radio, artist and record companies alike. He was one of the most selfless, caring and generous people, the industry has ever seen, and will be missed.
He leaves his wife GAIL, his beautiful daughters NINA BRENNER STUART, NICOLE BRENNER, ALANA BRENNER and RACHEL BRENNER, along with his loving sister BEVERLY BRENNER SHAPIRO and her husband SONNY SHAPIRO and his niece BONNIE SHAPIRO. He also leaves all of his former employees along with countless friends and colleagues who truly loved him.
Services for JERRY will be conducted on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 26th at CONGREGATION SHIRAT HAYAM, 55 Atlantic Ave. SWAMPSCOTT, MA. at 12 noon followed by graveside services. The family will then be sitting shiva, at 133 Puritan Rd. SWAMPSCOTT, MA.
