Circuit Judge THOMAS BARKSDULL III is out and Judge DAVID CROW is in as the presiding judge in the RUSH LIMBAUGH investigation.
CROW is the third judge to handle the case, and takes over after BARKSDULL ruled that he has no jurisdiction over further matters in the case and issued an order that a new judge- CROW- would have to hear further arguments in the dispute over whether prosecutors may question LIMBAUGH's doctors. BARKDULL took the case after CIrcuit Judge JEFFREY WINIKOFF was taken off the matter by the 4th District Court of Appeals said BARKDULL, who issued the original search warrants, should review to which records the warrants applied.
LIMBAUGH is being investigated for "doctor shopping" to illegally obtain oxycontin using overlapping prescriptions; he has not been charged with a crime.
