EDISON MEDIA RESEARCH YESTERDAY (9/9) unveiled its 2014 edition of “30 Under 30” honorees (NET NEWS 9/9), which it describes as the young men and women, “to represent the next generation of radio and audio.”
Country radio was represented by TOWNSQUARE MEDIA “TASTE OF COUNTRY NIGHTS” host SAM ALEX (NET NEWS 2/26) and CLEAR CHANNEL Country KSD/ST. LOUIS afternoon co-host REMY (NET NEWS 9/2).
ALEX began his career as an intern at WLIT/CHICAGO as a high-schooler; his radio resume already includes morning show Producer and weekend personality duties at CLEAR CHANNEL Country WMZQ/WASHINGTON and stints at CUMULUS AC WRRM/CINCINNATI and ARTISTIC MEDIA Top 40 WBWB/BLOOMINGTON, IN.
REMY started in college radio, at ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY’s student-run radio station, WZND before moving to Top 40 WBNQ/BLOOMINGTON, IL. He’s teamed with co-host MASON at KSD since 2004; the pair doubles as the morning show for Oldies clustermate KLOU.
Congratulate ALEX here and REMY here.
