Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Inducts Four

The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NSHOF) held its 44TH ANNIVERSARY HALL OF FAME DINNER & INDUCTION CEREMONY last night (10/05) at the MUSIC CITY CENTER in DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE (NET NEWS 7/8).
JOHN ANDERSON, PAUL CRAFT, TOM DOUGLAS, and GRETCHEN PETERS were honored as inductees during the ceremony. CRAFT was inducted by HALL OF FAME songwriter LAYNG MARTINE, JR and honored with performances by THOMAS RHETT, BRITT RONSTADT, and BOBBY BARE. PETERS was inducted by songwriter RODNEY CROWELL and honored with performances by BRANDY CLARK and TRISHA YEARWOOD before receiving a video message from frequent co-writer BRYAN ADAMS.
Longtime publisher TROY TOMLINSON inducted DOUGLAS before he was honored with performances by COLLIN RAYE and TIM MCGRAW along with a pre-recorded congratulatory video from LADY ANTEBELLUM. BIG & RICH's JOHN RICH stepped up to induct JOHN ANDERSON who was then honored with performances by BOBBY BRADDOCK and JOSH TURNER.
In addition, HALL OF FAME songwriters MATRACA BERG and DON SCHLITZ presented the FRANCES WILLIAMS PRESTON MENTOR AWARD to publisher PAT HIGDON (NET NEWS 9/2). The SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR award was given to ASHLEY GORLEY and the SONGWRITER/ARTIST OF THE YEAR was awarded to JACK WHITE.
