ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONS News/Talk/Sports WMFS-F/A (92.9 FM ESPN/680)/MEMPHIS has been tapped as the media partner for the 56th ANNUAL AUTOZONE LIBERTY BOWL, played DECEMBER 29th in MEMPHIS.
Bowl organizers have inked an agreement with the station to be the broadcast home and media partner for the game, which will feature teams from the SEC and BIG 12 CONFERENCE. The LIBERTY BOWL has a major economic impact on the market with hundreds of volunteers taking part and proceeds going to benefit ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL. the world’s premier pediatric cancer research center.
“92.9 FM ESPN is proud to officially announce our partnership with the AUTOZONE LIBERTY BOWL to further raise the profile of one of the Mid-South’s most important community/sporting events," said PD BRAD CARSON.
“The AUTOZONE LIBERTY BOWL is the seventh-oldest college football bowl game in AMERICA and we have a wonderful hometown title sponsor partner in AUTOZONE,” said LIBERTY BOWL Executive Director STEVE EHRHART. “We also have a very strong community-based association membership, along with hundreds of volunteers who make this such a great community event.”
The AUTOZONE LIBERTY BOWL was founded in PHILADELPHIA in 1959 and has been held annually at LIBERTY BOWL MEMORIAL STADIUM in MEMPHIS since 1965.
