Benefit Concert Honoring Pat "Paraquat" Kelley Announced

KMET/LOS ANGELES on air-personality PAT "PARAQUAT" KELLEY was a fixture on SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA radio for over a decade.  In 2003, he was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and is currently battling the advanced stages of the disease.

Award winning musicians, KMET alumni and friends are bringing their talents and efforts together for a one-night special event at the CANYON CLUB, AGOURA, CA on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14th at 7:30p.

Billed as THE MIGHTY MET ACOUSTIC FLASHBACK, confirmed performers include GEORGE THOROGOOD, JANIVA MAGNESS, PAUL BARRERE, WADDY WACHTEL, PETER STROUD, DAN NAVARRO, KIKI EBSEN, MICHAEL ANN AZOULAI, BILL CHAMPLIN, PRESCOTT NILES, CHRISTINA LA ROCCA, JULIAN SHA-TAYLER, RILEY BIEDERER, ANGELES BAND and special guests to be announced.

KMET alumni CYNTHIA FOX and JEFF GONZER will be among the evening's emcees and will include a special appearance by Sirius/XM Free Form Radio host and legendary SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA radio personality, JIM LADD.

In addition to an entire evening of very special acoustic performances and collaborations, a Silent Auction featuring “rock and roll royalty donations including EAGLES personalized guitar and an exclusive getaway vacation.”

"PAT and I are deeply touched and honored by this out pouring of love. Borrowing a line from THE BEATLES, 'There's been some time in preparation, a splendid time is guaranteed for all'," said KELLY’s wife MELODY ROGERS-KELLEY.
