PETER LLOYD has been appointed Director, Creative - Music Publishing for DISNEY MUSIC GROUP by SVP A&R/Head of Creative MIO VUKOVIC.
In his new post, LLOYD will be responsible for working with DMG staff songwriters, arranging co-writes, and pitching songs to all the majors as well as finding opportunities within the DISNEY system (ABC, ESPN, PIXAR, MARVEL, LUCASFILM, etc.). He is based at DMG's BURBANK headquarters.
Said VUKOVIC, "I've known PETER for more than 10 years, going back to working together as managers at ADVANCED ALTERNATIVE MEDIA. I knew then he had a remarkably deft feel for good songwriting. His subsequent career proved me right, with his nonstop success working with some of the best in the business. It's a major coup for us to have PETER here, and I couldn't be more delighted to welcome my old friend to the DMP family."
Added LLOYD, "I'm very excited to join DISNEY MUSIC PUBLISHING and the entire DISNEY enterprise. The artists and songwriters are great, and because DISNEY is such a creative, synergistic company, I can do so much more than I've ever done before."
The SAN DIEGO native began his career more than 15 years ago as an intern and, later, creative assistant at the UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP in LOS ANGELES. He went on to serve in various music publishing posts at RAZOR & TIE, AAM and DESTON SONGS, working with such writers and artists as DR. LUKE, KESHA, DESMOND CHILD, LINDY ROBBINS, ANDREAS CARLSSON, MARK HOPPUS and DREAMLAB. Most recently, he served as VP and head of publishing at PULSE RECORDING, where he worked with artists and writers such as BONNIE McKEE, ANNE PREVEN, TIM PAGNOTTA, OLIGEE, BLOOD SIAMONDS, LUKE LAIRD, BARRY DEAN, DIA FRAMPTON, SIRAH, HELLOGOODBYE and DANIEL MERRIWEATHER. Over the course of his career, LLOYD has been involved in creating songs for KELLY CLARKSON, PINK, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, AVRIL LAVIGNE, LEA MICHELE, PHILLIP PHILLIPS, CARLY RAE JEPSEN, RITA ORA, THE VAMPS, NEON TREES, LIGHTS, and SWITCHFOOT, among many others.
