CBC Staff May Return Tuesday

The CBC's deal with the CANADIAN MEDIA GUILD has yet to be ratified by the rank-and-file, but the network's staffers are expected to return to their jobs on TUESDAY (10/11) after a SUNDAY vote. Some workers, including the crew producing SATURDAY's "HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA" telecasts, will return earlier. 

The deal includes a 12.6% wage increase over the four year term of the contract, plus individual signing bonuses of C$1,000. It also includes a 9.5% cap on contract workers. STaffers have been locked out since AUGUST 15 in the wage and staffing dispute.
