The war of words between PHILADELPHIA's afternoon sports talkers went live and in person at the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES' training camp WEDNESDAY (8/19) when CBS RADIO Sports WIP host JOSH INNES and GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN (97.5 THE FANATIC) host MIKE MISSANELLI had to be separated during an apparent argument on the sidelines.
PHILLY.COM reports that INNES said that he and MISSANELLI were arguing over the latter's claim that INNES talked tough about former WIP host ANTHONY GARGANO, now the morning host on THE FANATIC, on the radio but was afraid to confront him in person, and INNES responded by telling MISSANELLI that his show sucks, leading to EAGLES security stepping in.
MISSANELLI said on his show that INNES "stepped back and wet himself just like he did months ago when GARGANO confronted him," while INNES, on MICHAEL BARKANN and IKE REESE's WIP show, said, "I’m not afraid of the guy, but why am I going to get in the fight?... He’s a typical meathead bully who can’t settle things with his words."
