ENCO, Yellowtec Partner For News Recording App-Mic Package

ENCO and YELLOWTEC are partnering for a new remote newsgathering package to be unveiled at IBC2015 in AMSTERDAM SEPTEMBER 11th-15th. The package will include ENCO's iDAD mobile app and YELLOWTEC's iXM microphones to offer a handheld solution allowing reporters to use cellphones to record, edit, and deliver high-quality sound files without need for codecs or additional equipment. The app will also allow connection to the iXM's internal WiFi storage device; it can also remotely control ENCO's DAD automation system at the studio.

“The main purpose of this combined solution is to make life easier on the field journalist,” said YELLOWTEC Sales Dir. ANDY MIKKUTA. “The simplicity of the solution removes the technical burden of newsgathering from the equation. Reporters can have complete files back to the radio station within 10 minutes of an interview.”
