WB West Coast Regional David Bouchard's Brother, Jazz Professor George Bouchard, Passes At 71

ALL ACCESS sends condolences to the family and friends of WARNER BROS. RECORDS L.A. local promotion exec DAVID BOUCHARD on the loss of his brother, GEORGE BOUCHARD, the longtime NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE Professor Of Jazz Studies, who passed away on AUGUST 12th after a battle with cancer.
BOUCHARD taught jazz studies at NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE for more than 30 years, along with his job as instructor the JAMEY AEBERSOLD SUMMER JAZZ CAMPS for close to 40 years.
An accomplished composer, GEORGE recorded four jazz CDs, wrote a best-selling book, "Intermediate Jazz Improvisation," and performed with his own THE GEORGE BOUCHARD BAND on LONG ISLAND, where he made his home in WESTBURY.
He is survived by his son DEREK, his brother, DAVID, sister TERRY HEPNER, and his dearest companion TRISH GAPIK.
A memorial service will be held at BENEY FUNERAL HOME in SYOSSET on SEPTEMBER 12th at 1p (ET). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the GEORGE BOUCHARD MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP, NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION, One Education Drive, GARDEN CITY, NY.
A celebration concert is planned for DECEMBER at NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
