Over the weekend, TAYLOR SWIFT put on an incredible performance to sold-out crowds at the STAPLES CENTER in LOS ANGELES for her "1989 WORLD TOUR" with special guests HAIM and VANCE JOY.
Early in the evening, TAYLOR promised the audience would be treated to several surprises throughout the show. First, she welcomed UZO ADUBA of the hit show "Orange Is The New Black" to the stage to perform a duet of "White Horse." During "Style" TAYLOR also welcomed #1 Male Model SEAN O'PRY from her "Black Space" video to the stage along with comedian CHRIS ROCK and actor MATT LEBLANC (who she jokingly dubbed the top "#2 and #3 Male Models"). This was followed by duets with MARY J. BLIGE on "Doubt" and "Family Affair." On FRIDAY (8/21), The LAKERS' KOBE BRYANT presented a special banner to recognize TAYLOR's historic 16th sold-out show at the venue.
TAYLOR SWIFT's voice was in top form and she showed her musical expertise with several solo performances including an acoustic version of "You Belong To Me", a rockin' electric guitar intro on "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and a solo piano performance of her new single "Wildest Dreams" which will be delivered to radio on TUESDAY (8/25) with a new radio remix.
Throughout the show, TAYLOR's many costume changes went off without a hitch as a video played from her close friends SELENA GOMEZ, KARLI KLOSS, the HAIM sisters, and other friends who spoke about what it's like to be in TAYLOR's inner circle. The crowd also received radio controlled wristbands which lit up in various colors to match the lighting effects on-stage and complimented some well-lit wearables worn by the audience. The show ended with TAYLOR and her dancers rising high above the crowd on an elevated runway dancing to "Shake It Off."
The "1989" tour continues with three more shows at the STAPLES CENTER beginning TONIGHT (8/24) through WEDNESDAY (8/26). Some of the radio and music industry VIPs in attendance included JOHN MICHAELS (KAMP), MICHELLE BOROS (KAMP), BRANDON BELL (KBIG), JOHN IVEY (KIIS) BEATA MURPHY (KIIS), SISANIE (KIIS), PHIL GUERINI (RADIO DISNEY), JASON BOWERS (WESTWOOD ONE), Z ENTERTAINMENT's STEVE ZAP, DELTA RAE Mgr. ADAM SCHLOSSMAN, TV/radio personality SUMMER JAMES, and ALL ACCESS' MARK STRICKLAND.
ALL ACCESS sends a big thank you out to BIG MACHINE and REPUBLIC RECORDS' ROB HARVEY, MANNY SIMON, ARTIE GENTILE, TALIA GILBOA, 13 MANAGEMENT's FRANK BELL, and TAYLOR SWIFT's entire staff and crew for this amazing musical event.
