ALL ACCESS extends our deepest sympathies to family and friends of ARISTOMEDIA GROUP CEO JEFF WALKER, who died unexpectedly last NIGHT (8/24). He was 65.
In addition to running ARISTO, WALKER had also served on the COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR (CRS) Board of Directors for the past 35 years and was a longtime member of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) Board as well. He was presented with the CRS PRESIDENT'S AWARD during the COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME induction ceremony in JUNE (NET NEWS 6/2) and had recently been re-elected as CRS Treasurer (NET NEWS 7/14).
WALKER was also involved in Country music's international efforts, serving board positions on the CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CCMA) and the CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY MUSIC COALITION in AUSTRALIA. He was honored last SEPTEMBER with a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by the AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (NET NEWS 9/23/14).
He is survived by his father and step mother, BILL and JEANINE WALKER; his wife, TERRI; his son JONATHAN and wife TESSA; and his daughter CHRISTY WALKER-WATKINS and husband MATT WATKINS. He had two grand-daughters, ELLE and LUCY. Arrangements are pending at this time.
