SIRIUSXM host STEVE BLANK, creator of the LEAN STARTUP movement, will interview COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY Special Advisor and former GOLDMAN SACHS partner RICHARD WITTEN and THE MUSE.COM CEO/Co-Founder KATHRYN MINSHEW on the premiere installment of his weekly show, "Entrepreneurs Are Everywhere," THURSDAY, AUGUST 27th at 4p (ET) on BUSINESS RADIO POWERED BY THE WHARTON SCHOOL channel 111.
The program features founders of companies from across the U.S. sharing their experience of what it takes to build a startup, examining the DNA of entrepreneurs – what makes them tick, how they came up with their ideas – and, exploring the habits that make them successful, and the highs, lows and pivots that push them forward. SIRIUSXM listeners will hear battle-tested, practical advice on how make their business dreams a reality.
WITTEN will discuss how entrepreneurship education is changing and how he is channeling his social consciousness to help change the world. MINSHEW will talk about overcoming trials and tribulations to create her successful online career platform.
WITTEN is Special Advisor to the President of COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY, a position he assumed after retiring as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UNIVERSITY. Through their private foundation, RICHARD and his wife have provided the primary funding for iTEACH, a program developed by MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL and PARTNERS AID RESEARCH CENTRE to provide a comprehensive intervention to support and improve delivery of HIV and TB care within the PUBLIC HEALTH SECTOR in KAWZULU-NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA.
MINSHEW's THEMUSE.COM is a platform helping 40+ million people build careers through inspiration, jobs, skills and advice.
BLANK has changed how startups are built and how entrepreneurship is taught around the globe. His MAY 2013 HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW article on the LEAN STARTUP defined the movement. His books -- "The Startup Owner's Manual" and "The Four Steps To The Epiphany" -- and blog have redefined how to build successful startups, and his LEAN LAUNCHPAD class at STANFORD, BERKELEY, COLUMBIA and NYU has redefined how entrepreneurship is taught.
