On MONDAY (8/24), HOLLYWOOD RECORDS welcomed the radio and music industry out to a private showcase at S.I.R. STUDIOS in HOLLYWOOD for a special pre-tour performance by ZZ WARD.
WARD's sense of humor was well evidenced throughout the set, including the first song of the night (her breakthrough single) "Put The Gun Down," which she joked as being " ... about a bitch that tried to take my man from me."
She followed with two tracks from her upcoming album "Love & War," including the new single, "Love 3X," for which the audience provided some backup vocals. Next came "Marry Well," which provided the opportunity for her to demonstrate some killer harmonica playing. She closed with "Move Like U Stole It" and "Blue Eyes Blind" from her 2012 album "Til The Casket Drops."
Some of the radio VIPs in attendance included BRANDON BELL (KBIG/LOS ANGELES), JR AMMONS (WZPL/INDIANAPOLIS), PAUL McCOY (WVHT/NORFOLK, VA), ALL ACCESS’ ED BROWN, PAUL COLBERT and MARK STRICKLAND, plus several film, TV and licensing folks.
ALL ACCESS sends a big thank-you to HOLLYWOOD RECORDS' SCOT FINK, DJ ENNIS, NICK BEDDING and DOMINIC GRIFFIN for a great evening of music, wine, and piZZa.
WARD's "Love & War Tour" begins AUGUST 28th in DALLAS.
