SCHOOL BOY/INTERSCOPE singer CARLY RAE JEPSEN performed a special concert for fans MONDAY night (8/24) at the TROUBADOUR, where she performed tracks from her just-released third studio album "Emotion."
As the sold-out audience welcomed her enthusiastically, the singer came out wearing a bright red jacket that practically lit up the stage on its own. She opened with her current single, "Run Away With Me," with the audience singing along to every word -- a trend that continued with each song that followed. Next came "Gimme Love," followed by the album's title track JEPSEN even dipped back to perform a song she said was one of her favorites from her previous album Kiss, titled "Tonight I"m Getting Over You."
For "Warm Blood," a song she revealed is one of her one of her favorites from her current album, she welcomed the song's co-writer (and member of VAMPIRE WEEKEND), ROSTAM BATMANGLIJ to the stage, where he played keyboards during the performance. Also seen in the audience were TOM HANKS (who appeared in JEPSEN's "I Really Like You" video) and LORDE, who could be seen dancing and singing in the upstairs guest balcony. L.A. radio peeps enjoying the show included BOOKER from KAMP, plus BEATA MURPHY and SISANIE from KIIS.
ALL ACCESS wishes to thank our INTERSCOPE hosts, BRENDA ROMANO, CHRIS LOPES, MARK NEITER, CHRIS MORADI for a fun night of great entertainment.
