Radio Yakima Debuts Alternative 106.9 X-FM

RADIO YAKIMA launches Alternative "106.9 X-FM" on KHHK-HD3 and translator K295BT WAPATO/YAKIMA, WA under PD BRIAN HENDERSON, who also programs sister Classic Rocker KRSE (105.7 THE HAWK).

Launching commercial free, 106.9 X-FM started its 10,000 song marathon at midnight (8/26) with THE BLACK KEYS “Tighten Up.” HENDERSON was also behind the launch of THE HAWK almost a year to-the-day on AUGUST 29, 2014.

“We have been celebrating our birthday this month and this is kind of a present to the people of YAKIMA for making the station such a success,” HENDERSON said. “Over and over people complained that radio stations had a habit of trying to everything to everyone. We listened to YAKIMA and here we don’t do that. We offer a world class classic rock library that people can go to and expect to hear great classic rock on THE HAWK. 106-9 X-FM will be no different, when you tune in through HD Radio KHHK-HD3 or on 106.9 FM, you will hear the very best alternative music has to offer.”
