POSTVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE noncommercial Variety KPVL/POSTVILLE, IA is shutting down before the end of the year if a party cannot be found to assume control of the station.
In a message posted at the station's website, Board President NINA TAYLOR wrote, "Due to changes within the POSTVILLE Community and the inability for DECORAH to clearly hear our broadcast, the station has not been able to garner the support needed to keep the station running. It is with great regret that we will be closing the station for lack of funds to continue.
"We are writing now in an attempt to reach out to people who may like to take over the station. Our goal has always been to keep the station running and since it is a community station, owned by the community, we wish to allow the communities a chance to continue the services before we are forced close. If the station continues on without changes, it will be closed before the end of the year."
