Spotify Launches 'Found Them First' Feature

SPOTIFY has added a new "Found Them First" feature to show users which artists they helped become popular.

The new microsite will show the artists listeners "found first" with dates of first listening, and will offer SPOTIFY-generated customized playlists of similar artists to whom the user hasn't yet listened.  Artists including JAMES BAY, RIXTON, YEARS & YEARS, VANCE JOY, and MISTERWIVES have created "appreciation videos" for their early listeners to be available in the "Found Them First" section.
 
“We love creating fresh ways for people to interact with music. This experience is an ode to the fans who truly love discovering new artists,” said VP of Creative and Brand Strategy JACKIE JANTOS. “Users are rewarded for listening early on, and earn some bragging rights. Of course, if you haven't discovered any new artists early on, and want to, SPOTIFY can help you with that!”
