Industry vet JACK SWART has joined COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS as Market Manager of the SUMPTER, SC-based cluster.
SWART is overseeing Adult HIts WIBZ, News/Talk WDXY-A/F and Urban Oldies WWHM-A/F in the SUMTER market. He's also overseeing Classic Rock WWBD and Country WWKT, which overlap the FLORENCE and SUMTER markets, as well as Urban Oldies WGFG-A/F, and Country WQKI in ORANGEBURG, SC.
SWART tells ALL ACCESS, “I am thrilled to have such an exciting opportunity like this. JIM LEVEN and BRUCE MITTMAN have built a great company by serving the local communities in NEW YORK state and now in SOUTH CAROLINA. I am privileged to join their excellent team.”
COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS President/CEO JIM LEVEN commented to ALL ACCESS, "We’re excited to have JACK running SUMTER as COMMUNITY BROADCASTER’s expansion into SOUTH CAROLINA. JACK shares our love of true community radio and will help us to carry forward (previous owner) HAROLD MILLER’s legacy of service to SOUTH CAROLINA.
SWART, who was recently featured in an ALL ACCESS 10 Questions interview, has been in the business since 1973, and has held virtually every position that you can hold in a radio station, from jock and PD to AE, Sales Manager and General Manager at stations throughout the MIDWEST. He is a CRMC and CRSM, won the President's Cup when he was with CUMULUS in 2001, and was named General Manager of the Year when he was with CONNOISSEUR in 2010.
