KNTY/Sacramento Helps Young Listener Celebrate Defeating Cancer With Call From Hunter Hayes

ENTRAVISION Country KNTY (101.9 THE WOLF)/SACRAMENTO, CA MD MIKE ALLEN has a very special listener who has kept in contact with him in recent months. A young lady named HAILEY was fighting a battle with cancer and regularly checked in with her favorite radio station. Recently, she called ALLEN to share some good news -- she was told she is cancer free!

ALLEN asked HAILEY how she would like to celebrate, and she immediately requested ATLANTIC/WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist HUNTER HAYES' current single, "21." HAILEY's mom filmed her listening to herself on the radio, and KNTY shared the video on social media in hopes that it would get back to HAYES. Check out that video here.

Not only did it get back to HAYES, but the singer asked the station to connect him with HAILEY so he could personally congratulate her.
