Shania Twain Cancels Tour Dates To Recover From Respiratory Infection

MERCURY NASHVILLE artist SHANIA TWAIN has been forced to cancel two shows due to a respiratory infection. TWAIN missed last NIGHT's (10/6) date at VERIZON WIRELESS ARENA in MANCHESTER, NH and will miss TONIGHT's (10/7) show at TIMES UNION CENTER in ALBANY, NY.

A statement was issued YESTERDAY (10/6) via TWAIN's FACEBOOK page: "SHANIA TWAIN's 'ROCK THIS COUNTRY TOUR' dates...have been cancelled due to illness. SHANIA TWAIN's doctors have advised her to rest for several days after she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection. The concert dates are unable to be rescheduled due to SHANIA TWAIN's current touring schedule. All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. SHANIA TWAIN apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause her fans and greatly appreciates their understanding. The tour will resume on [FRIDAY,] OCTOBER 9th at the VIDEOTRON CENTRE in QUEBEC CITY."
