The 2016 ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME nominees were released this morning. Inductees for 2016, who are chosen by a voting body of more than 800 experts, will be announced in DECEMBER. Up for inclusion in the hall are:

• CHICAGO
• THE CARS
• CHEAP TRICK
• STEVE MILLER
• THE J.B.S
• LOS LOBOS
• CHAKA KHAN
• DEEP PURPLE (3rd time nomination)
• NINE INCH NAILS (2nd time nomination)
• THE SMITHS (2nd time nomination)
• THE SPINNERS (3rd time nomination)
• YES (2nd time nomination)

The induction ceremony will be held in APRIL 2016 in NEW YORK.
