STEVE EARLE will headline and host "JOHN HENRY'S FRIENDS: The 1st Annual Concert Benefiting The McCARTON SCHOOL, An Educational Program For Children with Autism." Set for MONDAY, DECEMBER 14th, at NEW YORK CITY's world-renowned TOWN HALL, the event boasts a lineup that also features JACKSON BROWNE, JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE, THE MASTERSONS and STEVE EARLE & THE DUKES, the latter's first NYC live date since the release earlier this year of their acclaimed album, "Terraplane," on NEW WEST RECORDS.
All net proceeds will support the McCARTON SCHOOL in NEW YORK CITY, which offers a year-round one-on-one educational program for children with autism, ages three to 18, among them EARLE's own five-year-old son, JOHN JENRY. Founded on the belief that children diagnosed with autism can live full and productive lives as integrated members of their communities, the school provides individualized instruction using a multi-disciplinary model grounded in APPLIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS (ABA) combined with speech and language therapy, motor skills training, and peer interaction.
"They say never meet your heroes," says EARLE. "But I've known JACKSON BROWNE for a couple of decades now and he's never once let me down." About his "other" son, STEVE adds, "JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE has grown up to be a great songwriter, a dynamic performer and the kind of man that doesn't have to be asked twice to suit up and show up for his little brother."
All tickets are on sale now with a limited quantity of VIP tickets available, including VIP seating and admission to an exclusive after-show party at CITY WINERY (155 Varick Street) with complimentary food and beverages. Please visit thetownhall.org/event//john-henrys-friends for more information.
