The move of CHRIS RYAN as one of four GRANTLAND staffers to exit the ESPN sports and pop culture website to follow founder BILL SIMMONS to his next venture means the end of RYAN's podcast with ANDY GREENWALD, "HOLLYWOOD PROSPECTUS." In addition, JULIET LITMAN, who is also moving from GRANTLAND to join SIMMONS at his new HBO project, will depart the reality TV "RIGHT REASONS" podcast and "FOOD NEWS" podcast co-hosted with DAVID JACOBY, who recently became co-host of the evening show on ESPN RADIO with JALEN ROSE.
GREENWALD tweeted a post in a graphic stating, "Sad to say that last week's HOLLYWOOD PROSPECTUS podcast was the final episode of the podcast. No tears, please, there's no reason to burn down your structure. CHRIS and I have been best friends since 1996. The only thing that changes today is that our conversations won't be recorded for the forseeable (sic) future. Oh, and I will probably now see even fewer movies."
RYAN and LITMAN, along with SEAN FENNESSEY and MALLORY RUBIN, is joining SIMMONS on a project to be announced; SIMMONS, after his highly public break with ESPN, joined HBO for a new TV show and as-yet-unspecified content production for digital platforms and relaunched his podcast last week.
