Morning Show Bit Prompts Formation Of Media Monitoring Group

A group representing Hispanic Jews has been formed in response to a stereotypical Jewish character on SPANISH BROADCASTING SYSTEM Spanish Top 40 WXDJ (EL ZOL 95.7)/MIAMI.

The SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL reports that the HISPANIC JEWISH INITIATIVE, created by the ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE, will monitor Spanish-language radio and TV in MIAMI for anti-Semitism, in response to EL ZOL's morning "EL VACILON EN LA MANANA" and its GOLDSTEIN character, who spouts anti-immigrant material.
