It's back to radio for STEVE WEATHERFORD, the former NEW YORK JETS and NEW YORK GIANTS punter who was called back to action by the JETS for last weekend (NET NEWS 10/26). The ESPN Sports WEPN-F (ESPN NEW YORK 98.7FM)/NEW YORK SATURDAY morning co-host punted for the JETS on SUNDAY at NEW ENGLAND but has been cut from the squad with the pending return of regular punter RYAN QUIGLEY for this week's game against the OAKLAND RAIDERS.
WEATHERFORD, based on the nine year veteran minimum salary on a pro-rated basis, made $51,176 for the one game stint. He co-hosts a SATURDAY morning show with DAVE ROTHENBERG.
