Musicians On Call Event December 1st In Los Angeles Will Honor Rachel Platten, Disney's Phil Guerini

MUSICIANS ON CALL, a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities across the country, kicked off a first-of-its-kind, four city Rock The Room Tour in NASHVILLE last week raising over $130,000 with the help of some of the biggest names in Country music including REBA, MARTINA MCBRIDE, KELSEA BALLERINI, CHARLES ESTEN and honoring WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE VP/Creative Director SHANE TARLETON.

The next stop on the tour will be LOS ANGELES, with an event to be held TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1st at Greystone Manor that will honor PHIL GUERINI, VP/Music Strategy DISNEY CHANNELS WORLDWIDE and GM at RADIO DISNEY NETWORKS with a “Golden Ukelele” for the Leadership in Music Award. The event will also honor longtime MOC advocate RACHEL PLATTEN with the Music Heals Award for her volunteer work performing for patients at over 50 MOC programs.

"I have volunteered for MUSICIANS ON CALL for the past 12 years because of the incredible one-on-one experiences in hospital rooms when no one other than the patient and I would remember the love that was exchanged,” said PLATTEN. “It's amazing and an honor to be recognized for the fulfilling work I get to do. Music truly heals, and I am so grateful to have learned that through MUSICIANS ON CALL."
