Last week (NET NEWS 10/28), ALL ACCESS told you that CBS RADIO Classic Hits WCBS-F/NEW YORK would join the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING and the AUDIO ENGINEERING SOCIETY to celebrate a marvel of Broadcasting -- the 50th Anniversary of the Master FM Antenna atop the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING in NEW YORK CITY.
At exactly 7p on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29th, the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING featured a light show designed by lighting designer MARC BRICKMAN to the song “FM” by STEELY DAN which will be simulcast on CBS-FM 101.1.

“We are honored to partner with the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING in celebration of this important date in broadcasting history,” said CBS RADIO/NEW YORK SVP/Market Manager MARC RAYFIELD. “WCBS was the first, and is the longest standing resident on the FM master antenna. It is only fitting we mark the occasion by playing STEELY DAN’s 'FM' in sync with a spectacular light show for all of MANHATTAN to see.”
